Copying and pasting variables/instances
Copy and paste variables/instances, if you want to declare new variables/instances based on already existing variables/instances.
This action is only possible in the list of the declared variables of the FBD-editor.
How to copy →variables and/or →instances onto the clipboard of the operating system:

Make the list of declared variables visible.

Select the variables/instances in the list.
Press Ctrl+A to select all elements in the view. Or press and hold the Shift- or the Ctrl-key to select several variables/instances. -
From the context menu of the list of the declared variables, select Copy Variables. Alternative: Press Ctrl+C.
How to paste the variables and/or instances from the clipboard of the operating system to the list of the declared variables:

Set the focus to the list of the declared variables where you want to paste the variables and/or instances.
The list might be in the same FBD-editor or in another opened FBD-editor. -
From the context menu of the list of the declared variables, select Paste Variables. Alternative: Press Ctrl+V.
Result: The variables and/or instances are pasted with a unique name. For instance, the copied variableMotor1
is pasted asMotor2
. The other data of the copied variables/instances (e.g. data type, initial value, possibly existing attributes/description/comment) is automatically entered in the pasted variables/instances.
